Returns and refund policy

Giclée Direct will endeavour to describe artworks for sale as accurately as possible. However, if for any reason the customer is unhappy with their purchase, they can return it to Giclée Direct for a refund providing it is received in perfect condition within 7 days from receipt of their goods. The intention to return a purchase must be communicated by e-mail within 48 hours of receipt of goods.

We ask the customer to supply us with a short note summarising the reason the item has been returned to assist us with maintaining our quality control and levels of customer service.

Any product that is returned to us must be received in the original packaging, with all component parts and in perfect condition. The customer is responsible for the cost of returning the goods for refund, except in the case of faulty damaged or wrongly supplied goods. If Giclée Direct accepts responsibility for goods damaged we will arrange for collection and reimbursement to the customer.

In case of a return the customer is liable to pay the costs of shipping both ways - to you and back to the artist. As we represent artists in the UK and overseas, please remember the return address may be UK based or abroad. We would recommend that you inquire about the artist's whereabouts before you purchase their work. Please also note that the cost of shipping one way might be different from the shipping costs the other way - depending on third party services and prices.

Insurance of goods

The customer is responsible for the cost of returning their items to Giclée Direct in the original condition and insuring them (applies to UK and overseas) during transit, except where the item is faulty.

Limitation of liability

Giclée Direct's liability in contract shall not exceed the value of the goods purchased. Giclée Direct shall under no circumstances be liable to the buyer for any consequential, indirect or economic loss or damages.

Privacy

Giclée Direct are totally committed to protecting the privacy of our website visitors and customers. We will not disclose information about our customers to third parties except where it is a necessary part of providing a service to the customer - e.g. Arranging for a product to be sent to the customer by post or courier.

What information do we need?

To process an order, we need the customer's name, e-mail address and delivery address. We also ask for a telephone number so we can contact the customer if there is a problem with their order. Without this information we cannot process the order.

We will not rent or sell a customer's name, address, e-mail address, or personal information to any third party without the customer's permission. Customers who have purchased from us, or have advised us of their e-mail address, postal address & telephone number may occasionally be updated on news and special opportunities via these channels.

All credit transactions are processed through Optimal Payments, one of the UK's leading credit card payment providers. Optimal Payments ensures that all transactions are fully secure and that all communications are protected by established encryption techniques. Optimal Payments' transaction environment is regularly audited by the banking authorities to ensure complete security. We do not store customer's credit card details.

Giclée Direct is a trading name of Nurtured Communications Ltd. Financial transactions made through this website will appear as Nurtured Communications Ltd. on your bank statement.

Force Majeure

If either party (Giclée Direct or the buyer) is subject to an event of Force Majeure, that is circumstances outside their reasonable control, including but not limited to war, fire, industrial disputes or civil commotion, it shall notify the other and the first party's obligations under these Terms shall be suspended until it notifies the other party of the end of such event of Force Majeure.

Communication & marketing

By providing Giclée Direct with their e-mail, postal address and telephone number the customer consents to receive communication from us about our latest products and special offers which we think may be of interest to them. This information will not be sold to a third party.
